So...... anyone want to paint??? After living in our home for almost a year, we are finally doing some decorating. We have a number of projects that we would like to do and painting is at the top of our list. The only problem is when do you find the time to paint when you have a 21 month old and a 2 month old? Yep, when everyone has gone to bed, Clay and I pull out the paint and start working. Which leads me to my other painting problem... we can't leave any paint supplies out. This means that we have to pick an area to complete and even if we stop painting at about 10:30 pm which we did last night, we didn't manage to get to bed until 11:30 pm since we had to rinse brushes, clean-up drop cloths and then finally clean-up ourselves. Everyone with kids knows that no matter how late you stay up the kids are going to get up at the same time tomorrw morning. Hence, I am suffering from sleep deprivation today, and lucky me I get to paint again tonight, probably longer since tomorrow is Saturday and we figure we'll each catch some rest the next day. So once again, I NEED a painter!! Now that I've had my release, I can say that really I am so excited to start making our house feel like our home. I will post some more pictures of our before and afters and share with you some of the projects we plan on tackling. Until then...... if you know a good painter send me their number if I get totally desperate (jk)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh have I got a tip for you! I just painted a room, too- and Robin Hansen taught me to just ZIP the brushes in a ziploc bag- and they're good for a few days!! Hooray! No more wasted paint, and no more hours of clean-up!
I LOVE your color, by the way- what is it? :)
Tell me about it! Its been 2 years and I still have not finshed!!! Let me know if you find someone!!
what a big job! but for what it's worth, it looks great! definitely digging the color and two tone paint. good luck with that project.
