Have you ever seen........

a child fall out of a shopping cart? Well I did, the only problem was that it was my child. Before you start giving the lecture and saying "that's why you teach them to sit in the cart and not to stand" I have to defend myself. I have taught Carson that we don't stand in the carts, but c'mon a two-year-old will be a two-year-old and will disobey and be quite defiant to the rules sometimes(Carson has been very rebellious these past two days). All during the Walmart trip he was continually standing up and I kept telling him to sit down. We finally made it to the end of the trip and I told him I would get him one of those small cartons of fish crackers located oh so conveniently(not) at the checkout line but we had to pay for it first before he could have any. The checker put it in the bag and I was getting my debit card out to pay when I heard her go "oh oh oh" and turned to see Carson leaning very far out to try and reach to the bags. It felt like slow motion as I started to go towards him he started going over and luckily I was able to grab him just enough that he didn't take a spill on his head. He wasn't really hurt but was more shaken up which I figured was good (maybe that will teach him to listen to his mother). The checker then asked if I wanted to report the incident and talk to someone, I kind of laughed inside, said no, and thought of all the silly lawsuits that people tried to get away with. Yeah I want to sue Walmart because my child stood up and leaned out of the cart, I see that going really far in court. Thankfully he's ok.

So although he has been a little pill lately some cute things have happened that tell me he does listen to his mother sometimes. He saw dinner cooking in the oven and said "oven hot" I said "yes the oven is hot dinner is cooking". He then proceeded to blow on the oven to cool it down. Connor was handing Carson little playdough cups so he could line them up and Carson said "thank you" after each one. He actually has very good manners when it comes to please, thank you and your welcome, sometimes saying all three when he has been given something he asked for.

Connor is still my sweet little baby too young to be out right disobedient. And drum roll please............................. HE'S WALKING!!!!!!!!! He actually has been walking for a couple of days and I have some video of it, but I can't seem to get it to post. Anyone have any tips?

Post it on youtube, then embed the video. That's what I always do, and it saves so much time and so many headaches!

BTW, good to know that he's okay! Hopefully he will listen to you more now. Once Lincoln snuck my mini-glue gun, plugged it in, and got burned. He learned REALLY quickly to listen after that!
